Lotus: Fourth place is the target
Lotus F1 revealed its 2012 challenger at Enstone this evening, named the E20 to mark the 20th creation from its Oxfordshire factory. With a new driver pairing and the continuity of Renault engines, the whole team is confident of a successful season and have set a firm target of fourth place in the Constructors' Championship.

Lotus F1 unveils E20 at Enstone
Lotus F1 revealed the car it hopes will propel it to the front of the Formula 1 grid in 2012, with the new E20 breaking cover at the team's Enstone factory on Sunday. Launched by an all-new driver line-up - consisting of former World Champion Kimi Räikkönen and current GP2 title holder Romain Grosjean - the machine again sports the black and gold design that was re-introduced to the sport last year.

Caterham the right choice, says van der Garde
Giedo van der Garde has admitted that agreeing terms with Caterham F1 for the 2012 season will ultimately prove to be a highly fruitful career choice, with the Dutchman now signed up as the squad's official reserve driver. Having negotiated with a number of teams over the winter break, the 26-year-old was delighted to finalise a deal.

Giedo van der Garde has been announced as Caterham F1’s official reserve driver for 2012, having spent the past three seasons in GP2. Van der Garde will now take part in the pre-season tests and a number of Friday Practice sessions throughout the coming campaign, aiding the Norfolk squad with its preparation efforts.

Technical Director James Key leaves Sauber
Sauber has received a knock on the run-up to the 2012 Formula 1 season, with James Key electing to hand in his notice and leave the team. The Englishman, formerly with Force India, had worked with the Hinwil squad from the start of the 2010 campaign but has now been offered a new job closer to his native home in the United Kingdom.

Ferrari has extended its link-up with Spanish banking group Santander until the end of the 2017 Formula 1 season. Formerly a sponsor of McLaren through Fernando Alonso’s time with the team, Santander first became a partner of the Italian team when the former double World Champion made his move to the Scuderia in 2010.
