Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander D'Italia 2010
Autodromo Nazionale Monza is one of the most historic motor racing circuits in the world. The Ferrari fans, the Tifosi, call it La Pista Magica - the magic race track.
Opened in 1922, it was only the third purpose-built motor racing circuit to be constructed after Brooklands and Indianapolis. The length of the track in its current configuration is 5.793 km.
Monza is a high-speed circuit and consists of very long straights and tight chicanes, therefore it is hard on the engine and brakes. Engines are run flat out for nearly 75% of the lap, in usually very hot conditions.
